Coaching techniques are in tune with the EFFORT CULTURE values that our foundation intents to promote, due to that they facilitate to find helpful tools in order to find solutions to conflicts and achieve our objectives. In this context; “effort” would be defined as: “Vigorous or determined attempt.”
A coaching process is based on the principle that the “coachee” is who has more information to solve the coming up situations. Then the “coach”, through this technique, will lead the coachee to reflect on himself, helping him to find his own solutions, according to a properly defined process:
- Observation: Deep analysis about the current situation.
- Consciousness: Clear identification of conflicts.
- Objectives: Accurate definition of the objectives.
- Action: Go from intention to act in a constant way.
- Validation: Validate through facts if we are getting closer or not to the objective.
- Compromise: Being a strong believer that objective will be achieved.
- Motivation: Fully conviction that objective it is worth.
Coaching allows developing the talent to face problems that arises during our personal and professional life. Here and abroad, it is an often used methodology by High Executives. A truly leader, is conscious about himself and about his team, about the objectives to be achieved and about that a continued effort to get this aim will be required. Josep Guardiola, Football Club Barcelona coach is a good example of what I am referring to.
The “toolbox” to solve conflicts and challenges that our life proposes, is inside us. It is important to have these tools about to use conscious and efficiently. Coaching is, to say it that way, “the discovery of these tools”. It would be desirable that someday, the development of these abilities will be a compulsory subject in school. So its knowledge will help to improve people attitude from childhood.
ANA DE OSSÓ, Coach Personal, www.anadeosso-coaching.co.nr (friend and contributor to our foundation) in her article "The effort through the Coaching" proposes some questions: How many of you have ever thought about what is his/her north in life? Do we know then where should we direct our efforts? Who dares to dream beyond his/her actual circumstances? Set you new goals! Wise you up!
